15 Worst Gaming Heroes Of The Last Generation

4. Fi - The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

Although she's admittedly not the star of the show, Fi deserves a place on this list. She is, after all, the only way Link knows how to do anything ever. Fi, if you're not familiar with the character, is Link's helper in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. A manifestation of the power within Link's sword, Fi's only function within the game is to literally pop out just after you've watched a cutscene showing you what to do and then explain exactly what you have to do in lengthy, robotic fashion. Such examples include popping out to tell you your heart count is low despite the game constantly beeping to alert you of this fashion, telling you she has deduced a 95% probability that the structure you just opened contains whatever you're looking for and just generally wanting to make me cut her to pieces with my Master Sword. It's a real shame actually, as Skyward Sword is probably the very finest game that's ever been released on the Wii. But Fi...man, she was hard work. I literally felt my rage growing every single time she popped out of the sword and started talking nonsense to me. She may not have been the hero of the piece altogether, but I simply couldn't get through this list without including one of the most irritating characters not only from this generation, but gaming altogether. Bring back Navi. All is forgiven.
