16 Essential Video Games Worth Buying An Xbox One For
9. Cuphead
One of the most visually stunning games seen in quite some time, this indie side-scroller was initially pegged to simply be a series of boss rushes, before the outcry from all who saw made two-man development team, Studio MDHR, think twice.
Thus, in 2016, Cuphead re-emerged with a series of full-on levels, taking its blaster-happy Mega Man-style gameplay and loading it with more character designs straight out of the 1930s. The whole thing moves with the stuttering glory of those old-school cartoons, and if you've seen anything from Disney's early days to even The Simpsons' parody, Steamboat Itchy, you'll know what to expect.
One of the most visually-arresting and unique games in terms of adapting a given time period for a newer age, Cuphead is due out later in 2016, and unless the footage already out is somehow a huge porky pie, should play just as good as it looks.
