16 Essential Video Games Worth Buying An Xbox One For
10. Halo: The Master Chief Collection
True, it's a bit strange referring to this as 'The Master Chief Collection' when he's still going strong in Halo 5, but alas, Halo's MCC brings together the revamped version of Combat Evolved, before rebuilding Halo 2 from the ground up with all-new textures, too.
Halo 3 and 4 are also in here, but it's the work done to the phenomenal original duo that'll really blow your socks off. Honestly, as Halo's base gameplay hasn't aged a day, sprucing up the graphics - yet allowing for a one-button toggle between old and new render models - was all fans needed.
Halo 4 might be the outlier thanks to being developed by 343 Industries, but for my money it's still a fantastic entry into the canon, its newer weapons and more personal tale being fleshed out in an optional web series included on-disc. The MCC stacked the deck for what was to come in Halo 5, and although I'll get to that later, you can't deny that as a founding pillar of gaming's mainstream success, Halo is built to last.
