20 Amazing Video Games That Never Got Sequels

9. Skies of Arcadia

Sega's 2000 RPG Skies of Arcadia is one of the most beloved offerings in the Dreamcast's library and remains a firm cult fave to this very day, yet beyond the 2003 GameCube port Skies of Arcadia Legends, we've seen barely a peep from the franchise since.

Ultimately neither the original Dreamcast release nor the GameCube port sold well at all, ensuring that while Sega did consider a sequel in the early 2000s, it never materialised.

Fans have also continually begged Sega to remaster the game, and though they hinted back in 2012 that this was indeed on the horizon, it still hasn't happened.

As such, Skies of Arcadia fans have had to settle for a few characters showing up in several games in the Valkyria Chronicles franchise, and randomly enough, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.

Even though Sega renewed their trademark for Skies of Arcadia just last year, it's incredibly tough to believe that we're ever going to get a sequel considering how disastrously the original sold.
