20 Announced Video Games You Won't Play For YEARS

A sequel to mega-hit survival game Ark: Survival Evolved was first announced at The Game Awards 2020, with a reveal trailer confirming that it would star Vin Diesel and Moana's AuliÊ»i Cravalho.

Ark 2 was originally set for a 2023 date, before being delayed to a late 2024 release in early access - a date which it obviously also missed.

Since then we've heard desperately little from Studio Wildcard about the game's progress, which doesn't paint much of an encouraging picture for it releasing anytime soon.

As of last June the studio projected an early access release no earlier than 2027, and by year's end revised this to 2028, while noting that the extent of Diesel's involvement remains up in the air due to his busy schedule.

Given the many delays Ark 2 has already had, it's easy to believe the game will slip again to 2029 or even later. Best to just throw your hands up and accept that it comes out when it comes out.
