20 Announced Video Games You Won't Play For YEARS
8. OD
OD is an intriguing new horror game which marks a fascinating collaboration between the inimitable Hideo Kojima and filmmaker Jordan Peele, which was officially unveiled at the 2023 Game Awards.
Even accepting that Kojima has been kept plenty busy in recent years with Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, many fans have grown impatient with the lack of substantial information about OD, bar the release of two highly enigmatic teaser trailers which offered little clarity.
Last year, Xbox honcho Phil Spencer announced that OD's development has been delayed, in large part due to the SAG-AFTRA strikes in both 2023 and 2024, which have prevented the game's live-action video segments from being filmed.
Production has dragged on long enough that one of the game's cast, the legendary Udo Kier, passed away last year before he could complete recording his part, which has likely further thrown development into a tailspin.
Considering we have no idea of how far along the game is and haven't seen a whole lot from it yet, it's best to assume you won't play it until 2028.
