20 Announced Video Games You Won't Play For YEARS

This coming November marks 15 years since the release of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and to say that fans are impatiently waiting for The Elder Scrolls VI is quite the understatement indeed.

Bethesda announced the game with a teaser trailer at E3 2018, meaning that more time has now passed since the game's announcement than between Skyrim's release and the reveal.

Beyond the total nothingburger of a teaser trailer we've seen no actual footage from the game, with the sequel only entering full production after the release of the studio's sci-fi RPG Starfield in 2023.

But back in 2021, Howard was adamant that the game would come out "some fifteen to seventeen years after Skyrim," placing its release between 2026 and 2028.

With how little concrete we know about The Elder Scrolls VI, it's certainly easy to believe it'll release at the later end of this estimate, if not beyond it in 2029.
