20 Best Game Boy Advance Games Of All Time
9. Pokémon FireRed & LeafGreen
The GBA has a lot of remakes. Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland, Final Fantasy IV Advance, and the myriad of other games that are on this list, but the most recognisable one is arguably Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon LeafGreen, remakes of Pokémon Red and Green. Yeah, Green not Blue.
In Japan Pokémon Red and Green were the first iterations of generation one then they were updated to make Pokémon Blue. In the west, we then got an updated version of Pokémon Blue titled Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue, yet our Pokémon Blue is different from the Japanese Pokémon Blue. Yeah I know, it's confusing but that's why it's FireRed and LeafGreen, the world doesn't revolve around us after all.
Anyway, Pokémon FireRed And LeafGreen are easily the most definitive version of generation one you're going to get, they're even better than the more modern remakes of gen one, the Let's Go games.
They're non-buggy versions of the first generation with all the additions from Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire including generation two and three Pokémon. It also includes the Sevii islands which continue the story of Red and Blue in a nice way. When you decide to revisit Kanto for the hundredth time these are your best options.
