20 Best Game Boy Advance Games Of All Time
13. Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, And Emerald
Many people were disappointed by Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. To many, they're clear downgrades from Gold and Silver, removing the second region, the day and night system, and taking place in a less interesting region. Whilst I'm not going to disagree with this as generation two is the best, the third generation of Pokémon games have more to offer than many people give them credit for.
Hoenn is one of the more interesting regions it's just unfortunate that it came after Johto which is better. Hoenn has a more tropical feel than anything until Alola, and it may have "too much water" but that water hides interesting locals such as an abandoned ship, many diving spots, and the extremely rare Mirage Island, something that led to many playground rumours throughout the world.
Generation three also introduces fan-favourite Pokémon like Gardevoir, Rayquaza, and Mudkip - who doesn't love Mudkip?
The games later got a third version called Pokémon Emerald which adds the battle frontier.
The battle frontier is good enough to make this the definitive version of Hoenn over the later released Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire which don't get me wrong are also excellent games, just not "battle frontier" excellent.
