20 Best Sci-Fi Video Games Of All Time
11. Portal 2
There are many puzzle-platformers to choose from, but none have the same legacy as Portal. Despite the game having such a small story, gamers and critics hail it for its quality.
This 2007 game from Valve was widely praised for its originality, unique gameplay, surprisingly dark story and humorous dialogue. Players would navigate the series of challenging puzzles and obstacles presented to them in the Aperture Science Laboratories.
To complete the puzzles, players would use one of the most iconic weapons in gaming history, the Portal Gun. This gun would allow players to create two portals, one blue and one orange, where both the player and objects can enter one and come out the other.
Combining this with careful planning and proper use of your own momentum, players would get a great sense of achievement when completing the games puzzles.
Unfortunately not everything seems to be alright, as GLaDOS, the artificial intelligence overseeing the players actions, slowly turns hostile and tries to get you to try some cake.
The game may offer a brief experience, but it leaves quite the memorable impression on its players.
