20 Best Video Game Multiplayer Modes Of All Time
7. Walker Assault - Star Wars Battlefront
Taking all the lessons they'd learned from making Battlefield the most overblown multiplayer experience possible and applying them to Star Wars canon, the intentionally one-sided Walker Assault is a perfect replication of the iconic Empire Strikes Back opening.
Setting one group of players as the dastardly Imperials/Empire and the rest as Rebels, it really is a case of the latter needing to work together if they want to stand any chance of survival. The Empire are gifted two whopping great AT-ATs which will slowly encroach on Rebel territory - winning the match if they get to a certain point.
The only way to win is activating a number of nodes that call in a Y-Wing strike - weakening the AT-ATs and letting the entire team focus fire on bringing one down. Of course any plucky player can hop in a Snowspeeder and tie up the mech's legs with tow cables in this moment, recreating yet another insanely awesome spectacle form the movies.
