20 Biggest Games Of 2015: What Do We Already Know?
14. Battlefield Hardline
Release Date: March 17. What It's About: A spin-off from the Battlefield series, using a cops-and-robbers style of play in which the cops and criminals both use advanced technology to try and out-do the other side. The Buzz: EA are promoting this as a unique experience to fill the gap before Battlefield 5 arrives next year, incorporting the mechanics people loved in the previous game (such as Levolution) into a series of heist scenarios. Plus, they've promised that more effort will be put into the single player campain this time, which unfolds like a TV cop show. Will It Be Any Good?: Probably not. Anyone who's played any of the beta tests knows that this is really just a £15 expansion being dressed up as a £40 full game. The gunplay is fine, but the driving is really awkward, and there's just not much here to suggest a purchase until the price drops significantly. Still, the beta had 7 million players, so it's probably going to sell by the bucketload.
