19. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
I am just as in shock as you are reading this list, but it’s true. Metal Gear Solid 4 is unfortunately still trapped on the PlayStation 3. As one of the flagship games from that console, it’s baffling how it was never ported or remastered, but sadly, this is the game that has been left behind.
The other games in the Metal Gear Solid series have received no end of love and attention as of late, with the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Volume 1 (which includes Metal Gear Solid 1, 2 and 3) and the recently released Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater hitting the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series consoles, the demand is still there for more Metal Gear.
Hideo Kojima being out of the picture can be a frightening thought for Metal Gear fans, as we’ve all seen what Konami has made without Kojima’s involvement (I shudder at the thought of another Metal Gear Survive). It’s time to spend some time with Solid Snake’s swan song, Metal Gear Solid 4.
