20 Dead Gaming Franchises That NEED To Come Back

After Capcom popularised the survival horror genre with Resident Evil, nobody would've blamed them if they focused entirely on expanding the zombie saga.

But shortly after, they developed another survival horror, this time focused on dinosaurs. In Dino Crisis, Regina is sent to investigate a secret facility, unaware the researchers have warped time, unleashing dinosaurs into the modern world.

Ammo was minimal, urging players to rely on evasion and strategy to get around the cretaceous beasts. Rather than churning out more of the same, Dino Crisis 2 pushed for action, driving players to blast every velociraptor and T-Rex in sight.

Even though Dino Crisis could've become Capcom's next showstopper, it deteriorated when the Dino Stalker spin-off and Dino Crisis 3 (AKA Dinosaurs In Space) didn't live up to expectations. Rather than just trying again, Capcom called it a day.

Although it's understandable why Capcom got cold feet, more than enough time has passed to bring Dino Crisis back.  If Capcom resurrected Dino Crisis, it could become one of the company's best-selling brands.
