20 Most Frustrating Video Game Moments Ever

7. Through The Fire & Flames - Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock

Guitar Hero 3NeversoftThe Guitar Hero series gained immense popularity in the mid-2000s with casual and hardcore gamers alike, because if you can't shred along to Metallica in real life, why not do the next best thing and rock out on a plastic video game peripheral? Though the learning curve allows skilled players to quickly ascend to the Expert difficulty, even hardcore players will find themselves struggling with one of the most notorious Guitar Hero track to date, Dragonforce's Through the Fire and Flames, a blistering 7-minute shred-fest that only the most dedicated player can complete, let alone nail with 100% accuracy. There's no quicker way to deflate your Guitar Hero ego than thinking you're a master of the game and be faced with this ludicrously difficult chart, which is virtually impossible to play sight unseen, and even after close studying, serves as a brick wall for most players. It rarely lets up, and as a result hand cramp may well set in by the fifth or sixth minute, so there's no shame in hitting the pause button mid-song and taking a break.
