20 Greatest Commodore Amiga Games Of All Time

3. Monkey Island 2: LeChuck€™s Revenge

Lucasarts were the masters of the old-school, point-and-click adventure genre. In this, their sequel to the legendary €˜ The Secret of Monkey Island€™, protagonist and wannabe pirate Guybrush Threepwood returns to face off against his old enemy, LeChuck. The game was graphically prettier and larger than its predecessor, coming on a massive eleven floppy disks. The story was of the usual Lucasarts brilliant quality, with great writing, genuinely hilarious moments, taxing puzzles and memorable characters. One of the best things about LeChuck€™s Revenge was the €˜lite€™ option that could be selected at the start of the game, which left out some of the more difficult puzzles; this was particularly useful for younger players, allowing them to enjoy the story more, especially the unexpected twist at the end.
