10. Beyond Good And Evil 2
Beyond Good And Evil 2 was first announced way back in 2008. Incredibly, it's been stuck in development hell for almost 2 decades. After years of delays and changes, the game resurfaced with a couple of flashy, cinematic trailers shown at E3 2017 and 2018, followed quickly by some prototype gameplay footage, proving the project was very much alive and kicking.
But then, following those huge developments, things got really quiet again. Fast forward another 8 years, and in September 2026, lead writer and associate narrative director Rik Godwin announced on his social media that he has been working on the game in a support and consultancy role for several months.
The game is still listed as 'in development' on Ubisoft's website, but there have been no other updates or developments of note, leaving fans to wonder exactly how much longer they'll have to wait to finally play the sequel to a game that was released during the PlayStation 2/ Xbox/ Nintendo GameCube generation.
