15. Dark Link - The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time

The Nintendo community shudder in fear when reminded of The Water Temple from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. But it's not just the confusing layout that irks them but the dungeon's brutal mini-boss, Dark Link.

The shadowy doppelgänger mirrors Links movements and sword strikes, so hitting him feels like a Sisyphean task. Dark Link can also jump on Link's sword, allowing him to stab the Hero of Time with ease. He has the same health as Link, meaning this duel is longer if you picked up every Heart Container so far. If Dark Link is struck, he reappears behind Link, using the opportunity to slash him to ribbons.

To top it all off, Links' fairy companion, Navi, is no help since her only advice during this brawl is "Conquer yourself." (Just when you thought Navi couldn't be less useful.)

Luckily, there's one simple technique which removes the challenge from this scrap altogether. If Link has enough magic, he can keep summoning Din's Fire, which Dark Link cannot block. So long as Link tops up his Magic Meter, he can keep performing this spell until Dark Link is destroyed.
