20 Most Anticipated Video Games Still Coming In 2017
14. Call Of Duty: WWII
Release Date: 3rd November
The first Call of Duty in years that I feel Activision are more than a little tepid on. Yes, we know it'll play incredibly well and yes, the production budget will be through the roof, but WWII represents the first time COD hasn't gone in the direction its creators wanted.
Rather than continue down the futuristic warfare setting first showcased in Advanced Warfare, we're heading back to World War II into a game that looks like 2002's Medal of Honor: Frontline on steroids. From D-Day landings to telling a meaningful story that'll try to channel Band of Brothers' sense of camaraderie, this could be the first truly brilliant COD campaign in years, backed up by boots-on-the-ground gameplay fans have demanded for three years solid.
Let's just see if all those vocal naysayers put their money where their mouth is.
