Set several years after the events of Endnight Games' 2018 survival horror, sequel Sons Of The Forest sees players take on the role of journalist Jack Holt, who joins a rescue mission to find a missing CEO and his family. However, when the helicopter crashes on an island, Jack is left as one of the sole survivors.

Alongside gathering food and crafting equipment to survive, players must also contend with the cannibal tribes that call this island home. While their unpredictable behaviour made encountering a group of these enemies at night a tense experience, there were far worse things to run into while exploring.

Like the first game, the island's most nightmarish inhabitants are found deep within the pitch-black caves, with one of the most disturbing being the Fingers mutant.

Armless humanoid creatures whose torso opens into a gaping maw lined with grasping fingers, these body horror monstrosities look like they've been taken straight from a Cronenberg film.

Alongside looking utterly repulsive, Fingers can also deal massive amounts of damage to anyone who gets too close, making them a major threat during the early hours.

It's enemies like these that make exploration in this game so unforgivingly stressful.
