9. Shenmue III (72)
Anyone who's ever played the previous two Dreamcast classics is absolutely desperate for this game to be incredible, but it's hard to be that optimistic considering how gaming has changed in the 15+ years since the last entry, and, well, the fact that it's being crowd-funded.
We still have no idea what Shenmue III's final budget is, but the graphics look fairly average, and if the game isn't evolved from the clunky controls and camera of the earlier games, it could end up feeling like a relic the moment it's out.
Play it safe and anticipate an enjoyably nostalgic return to the series, but one that also doesn't innovate enough to be great in 2017.
