14. Halo 5: Guardians Is Ruined By More Matchmaking Problems
Release Date: October 27 The Hype: The campaign will center around Spartan Locke attempting to hunt down Master Chief to deal with the latest alien threat, while the ever-popular multiplayer suite will be back for more mayhem, looking better than ever on the Xbox One. Why It Might Suck: 343 Industries caught huge flak for their release of The Master Chief Collection late last year, which was still broken and riddled with bugs well into February (over 100 days after its release), and even now, it's pretty far from perfect. Many fans claimed that they would be boycotting the fifth Halo game as a result, as they expect that 343 probably won't be learning their lesson any time soon. The worst thing 343 can do is not have the multiplayer matchmaking ready for release: it's a major reason why people buy these games (especially considering the typically short length of the campaigns), and if players can't kick some a** online on day one, they probably won't have as much patience this time. If the suite isn't ready, the best thing the developer could do is just delay the game, but with that all-important pre-Christmas release date, there's no way that's happening.
