20 Simple Game Exploits That Make You OP

2. Infinite Mining Laser XP - Mass Effect

Mass Effect 1 can be a pretty tough experience if Shepard is severely underleveled and all the enemies around them outgun them in every conceivable way.

Luckily, if you're worried that your Commander is not up to the challenge, all you need to do is get to Therum to level them up to infinity and beyond!

The exploit here is extremely simple. As you do the main mission sequence on the planet Therum, you eventually reach the point where you have to break Liara, one of Shepard's recruitable companions, out of confinement. You do so by using a mining laser, which causes a quick QTE sequence to play. Afterward, the game will reward you for finishing the task with a handful of EXP, and this is where you can abuse the game for infinite gains.

If you save the game as soon as the EXP pop-up appears, when you load the created save file back, you will receive the reward again. Then you can rinse and repeat this process for as long as you want, and since the EXP scales with your level, it actually doesn't take that many reloads to get Shepard to level 60.

What? Operating a laser is an extremely effective form of training regimen.
