5. Bowser's Star Steal - Super Mario Party Jamboree
Mario Party has always been the ultimate RNG nightmare that could break friendships with a single unfair dice roll. There are many random ways in which the game can screw you over, but one of them definitely hurts the most—getting the worst outcome on a Bowser space.
Bowser spaces have been a part of the series since the very first Mario Party, punishing you in a variety of different ways whenever you land on them. In the latest addition to the series, Super Mario Party Jamboree, the space causes your character to be teleported to Impostor Bowser, who then forces you to spin for your terrible fate.
None of the outcomes here are great. You can lose some coins, a lot of coins, be forced into an unfair minigame, or, worst of all, lose a star.
Collecting stars is the main goal of the game that determines the Jamboree’s winner. To get a star, you normally have to travel to a faraway space and purchase it with coins, so obviously losing one is not only painful for undermining your efforts but also because a single bad roll on the Bowser Space can potentially cost you a win.
