Vampire: The Masquerade began life as a ‘90s tabletop RPG, before spawning a big ol’ run of video games spread across the 21st century so far. While the quality of the games has been a little up and down, second game Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines struck red gold in 2004, demonstrating just what an RPG of that time could accomplish and more, despite a string of technical issues that developer Troika Games never recovered from.

As a result, the game has been sitting sequel-less for over two decades, while other, lesser Vampire: The Masquerade games have steamed ahead. But no more, because Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is on the way.

The action looks epic, and bloody as all hell, with an urban setting, plonking us down in present day Seattle for a rainy, phosphor-and-neon adventure of vampire clan warfare. And it has had a long road to completion, with original developer Hardsuit Labs bowing out in 2021, before it passed to small British developer The Chinese Room. But it’s almost here, and it promises to be the best Masquerade game yet.

The game is scheduled for release October 21st of this year, on PlayStation 5, Windows and Xbox Series X/S.
