20 Upcoming Video Games Absolutely NOBODY Wants

The heyday of the plastic instrument rhythm game was glorious alright, but the genre began its steep decline by the 2010s as the market became oversaturated with too many Guitar Hero and Rock Band games, as well as all those clutter-creating peripherals.

A few attempts have been made to revive the genre to no avail, and up next we have Stage Tour, a spiritual successor to Guitar Hero from franchise publisher RedOctane.

The game will feature familiar note highway gameplay and support a number of peripherals old and new, as well as a PC keyboard and traditional controllers.

The problem for many, however, is that they've spent years and years playing the free, fan-developed Guitar Hero successor Clone Hero, which is more feature and content-rich than any retail rhythm game possibly could be, with players able to import their own songs at will.

And so, a new rhythm game in the same vein that isn't free while having a small, restricted library of songs is an incredibly tough sell by comparison.

Most players deeply entrenched in the Clone Hero ecosystem are evidently going to stay there and give this one a miss.
