20 Upcoming Video Games Absolutely NOBODY Wants
19. Bubsy 4D
There are many, many beloved franchises we're waiting for new sequels to, but of course we're going to get a new Bubsy game first.
Last year Atari announced Bubsy 4D, the infamous platformer series' first 3D entry in an entire 30 years, since the release of the widely maligned Bubsy 3D.
Though the announcement trailer at least demonstrates a sure self-awareness about Bubsy's legacy, to many the immediate sentiment was, "Really?"
There are so many fantastic, iconic franchises whose fans have been starved of new entries for years, even decades, and yet for reasons that remain puzzlingly unclear, Bubsy is somehow still alive.
The reveal trailer does suggest that Bubsy 4D has a base competence that its predecessor did not, but considering the series' legacy at this point, you'd be silly to have genuinely high expectations for it.
Truly, Bubsy remains a jokey industry footnote which has somehow, someway managed to keep chugging along even with limited player interest.
