20 Upcoming Video Games That Might Surprise You

9. BioShock 4

BioShock Rapture
2K Games

The beauty and the agony of BioShock 4 is that, right now, it can be anything and everything, because we as players have absolutely no idea what 2K Games has been cooking up since the release of BioShock Infinite way back in 2013.

What we do know is that the fourth mainline BioShock has reportedly gone through several internal reboots and major leadership changes since it began development in earnest in 2019.

To call its production turbulent is quite the understatement, and has naturally left many fans gravely concerned.

Yet regardless of how it turns out quality-wise, BioShock 4 feels primed to surprise fans one way or another, given that with so much retooling it may be a stark departure from what we've seen from the series up to this point.

Quite what that means specifically is anyone's guess, but when 2K finally reveals the game it may not be what any of us were expecting - and we can only hope for the better.
