20 Upcoming Video Games That Might Surprise You
12. Big Walk
Every year there are a handful of indie breakout games that become viral sensations and sell by the bucket-load, and in recent times we've especially seen a ton of low-budget multiplayer games enjoy huge success - enough to coin their own genre, "friendslop."
And one might be tempted to lump Big Walk into the same bucket, given that it's a co-op multiplayer game in which four pals can team up to navigate a large open-world environment.
Big Walk doesn't seem to offer much of a story and is instead focused on players combining their smarts to solve puzzles and traverse the environment, so at first glance the friendslop label seems quite appropriate.
But Big Walk is actually the latest game from House House, the studio behind Untitled Goose Game, and so there's a very good chance this is a major cut above your typical co-op multiplayer outing.
Just as Untitled Goose Game was a surprise hit back in 2019, Big Walk might well turn out to be the big indie sleeper smash of 2026.
Big Walk releases on August 4.
