20 Video Game Sequels NOBODY Defends
19. Zelda's Adventure (1993)
There are a fair few Legend of Zelda games that received less-than-stellar reviews from audiences and critics, but it's hard to think of any that don't have at least some supporters. The likes of Skyward Sword, Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks, and more have die-hard fans who will defend them, even if they're not the most popular in Hyrule's roster. That said, there is a game that's even worse than what is often considered the lowest point in the LoZ series, and that's Zelda's Adventure.
This diabolical title was a sequel to the equally reviled Phillips CD-i games, Link: The Faces of Evil and Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon. But it earned even more ridicule, as those games were at least so bad they were good, whereas this one just sucked.
Zelda's Adventure's first notable problem was its visuals, made with live-action actors. It looked horrendously ugly, with acting that was worse than an amateur dramatics production. On top of that, its technical limitations made it troublesome to control, and meant it could barely play music. Oh, well, thank Hylia the series isn't known for its gorgeous scores then.
It's the one Zelda game that no one seems to like.
