20 Video Game Sequels NOBODY Defends

15. Fable: The Journey (2012)

You can say what you will about this fantasy comedy action-RPG series, but the Fable franchise really is a bright spot in gaming for many. While Fable III really didn't do well with critics or audiences, there are still plenty of gamers who enjoyed their time with it and stand up for the flawed game. However, that well of good faith definitely dried up with Fable: The Journey.

This game, the last title produced by Lionhead Studios, made the bold choice to turn the beloved RPG series into an on-rails shooter, controlled via the Xbox Kinect. Naturally, it was a clear attempt to sell the Kinect by connecting it with one of Xbox's flagship franchises, something that wasn't lost on fans.

The game was mostly fine, if a little repetitive and uninspired. But, as a Fable game, it's embarrassing to think this was the final title produced by this legendary studio. At least Fable III felt like a Fable game; this one just felt like a cheap attempt to get eyes on Microsoft's motion-control device.
