25 Best Sega Games Of All Time - RANKED

17. Panzer Dragoon

Yakuza game
Sega

You know, as good as Skyrim is, it failed on one aspect. You didn't get to fly the dragon.

Panzer Dragoon's got you covered though! This classic game, released in 1995 for the Sega Saturn, is an on-rails shooter experience that works very similarly to Rez, minus the mind-bending graphics and the techno soundtrack.

Ranked in several top games of all time lists, Panzer Dragoon is an arcade game on the console, where your dragon follows a pre-determined path and you shoot in all directions to battle against enemies.

Where it stands out from the pack of other on-rails shooters is the fact that this uses lock-on technology very similar to Rez. Rather than just spraying bullets everywhere, you can lock onto several enemies at once and eviscerate them in one satisfying barrage.

While it didn't set the world on fire with sales, it was still succesful enough to span a long-running franchise of Panzer Dragoon games. Just this year, a remake of this title was created and released for the Nintendo Switch.
