5. Metal Gear Ray (Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9GwJt3pHl4 What's more fun than fighting a gigantic, nuclear-equipped, walking death machine known as Metal Gear Ray? Well, fighting a whole squadron of them, of course. And that's exactly what Metal Gear Solid 2 tasks you to do in its final act, a bit of a step-up from only facing one Metal Gear in the previous games. You can't help but find yourself getting into a rhythm during this fight, eventually being able to expertly swap between the Stinger missile launcher and running for your life as you collect rations. It also encourages you to come back to it, as higher difficulties result in more units being thrown at you to increase your paranoia. The highest difficulty of "Extreme" asks you to slay twenty-five total Metal Gear Ray units, a daunting prospect for even the most seasoned player. It's incredibly challenging as you destroy each unit, barely avoiding gunfire from the other two and waiting for another to arrive, not allowing you much room to breathe and keeping the pace steady. The reward of bragging rights, however, is worth all the pain it will cause you.
