There's a reason why a game from 2000 with horribly blocky graphics is still regarded as one of the best ever made: the freedom of choice it allows.

You can tackle any objective in any way you see fit. By tailoring your character to be a hacker, you can utilise those skills to take down turrets and droids. Put points into weaponry and you can become a one man army. Want to be like James Bond? Then level up your stealth and dialogue attributes. The choice really is yours.

Add to all this a fantastic, cyberpunk style story with great writing and it's easy to see why Deus Ex is still getting played for the first time by people today. Truly genre-defining.
