5 Great X-Men Video Games & 5 That Sucked

6. Sucked - X-Men: The Ravages Of Apocalypse (PC, 1997)

As we've seen countless times in the comics, not all super-powered team-ups are successful. X-Men: The Ravages of Apocalypse proves that joining two popular and powerful forces together doesn't always work in the video game world either.

X-Men: The Ravages of Apocalypse was an official expansion of the Quake PC game. Still retaining its first-person shooter gameplay style, players were tasked with taking down cyborg clones of the core X-Men.

A unique premise, but not the mutation that players wanted in the next evolution of X-Men games. Who wants to slay X-Men with guns? Evidently, not many. The game failed to bring the X-Men fanbase into the Quake universe and remained simply a fun modification to the existing game.
