5 Great X-Men Video Games & 5 That Sucked

5. Great - X-Men: Mutant Academy 2 (PlayStation, 2001)

Wolverine Sabretooth X-Men Legends
Marvel

Paradox released a trio of X-Men games that provided an experience countless gamers and mutant lovers wanted — a classic versus mode featuring our favorite characters.

Although the Marvel vs. Capcom games are fantastic in their own right, Paradox's X-Men trilogy stands tall on its own, too. X-Men: Mutant Academy got the gameplay right and X-Men: Next Dimension, the third title, offered an amazing roster of characters (including Sentinels) to choose from, but most agree that X-Men: Mutant Academy 2 was hit the sweet spot.

MA2 expanded on the successes of the first game, included more playable characters, and added new gameplay via Academy Training and a Survival mode.
