5 Great X-Men Video Games & 5 That Sucked

3. Great - X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Multiple Platforms, 2009)

Loosely based on the film of the same name, X-Men Origins: Wolverine the video game does what its cinematic equivalent could not — entertain hardcore and casual fans alike.

The modifications to the movie storyline were welcomed, but it was the gameplay itself that captivated fans. Taking a violent page out of games like God of War, this M-rated romp through the world let Wolverine loose in all his glory.

Special attention to small details, such as the increased temporary visibility of his muscle tissue and adamantium skeleton when taking massive amounts of damage, distracted from the levels that may have otherwise felt too repetitive at times.

The Uncaged Edition of this game only enhanced its playability, offering players additional levels full of bad guys to rip apart.
