4. Pokemon X & Y

Release: 12th October (worldwide) Yeah, I'm still on-board for the whole Pokemon thing. I have been playing the series ever since the (now rather ancient) Pokemon Yellow on the Gameboy Colour. Pokemon X and Y is the biggest update in the series to date, with the franchise finally going into 3D visuals, not to mention total 3D on the 3DS. All Pokemon are presented as great-looking 3D models, and battle animations are vastly improved. While it remains to be seen how much the core game has changed, it looks like Pokemon X and Y may be the definitive Pokemon experience, and while the new Pokemon may be as stupid as ever, there are over 600 older Pokemon to catch and train. It looks like X and Y will take a long, long time, especially if you're a completionist like me. Gotta catch 'em all. And Pikachu's in it, of course.
