5. On Disk DLC
Day one, the Wii U is going to have a strong launch line up. It's just a shame that several titles like Batman: Arkham City and Mass Effect 3 are games that have already been out for 6 months to a year. The real question to ask, why have I included this in a list of positives for the Wii U? For anyone who has not yet played these games, the Wii U will be the system to play them on. Not only will you get all the previously mentioned advantages but, for the two examples above and likely many more multi-platform ports, You will get DLC included on the disk for free. If you play Mass Effect 3 on Wii U, the highly praised Extended Cut DLC is already on disk along with the games From Ashes DLC and three multi-player add ons. Batman: Arkham City miss you first time around? The Wii U edition will come with all of the games DLC for free, already installed on the disk. For games you have missed but are coming to Wii U, the version with free DLC seems a wise choice to me. What do you think? Would any of these reasons convince you to buy your multi-platform games on Wii U? Does the amount of multi-platform support make or break a system for you?
