6 Resident Evil Games Capcom Should Remake After Resident Evil 4

1. Resident Evil: Code Veronica X

There is a considerable fan divide going on as to what should be the next remake, number four or Code Veronica X. Following the release of Resident Evil 3 in 2020 there was a vocal section of the fandom that believed that Code Veronica X should have been next due to its placement in the continuity and the lack of limelight it had when compared to RE4.

There does appear to be some weight to the argument when you play the two games side-by-side, as Code Veronica X has suffered the effects of time more so than even the clunky controls of 4. It does feel like a case of whichever title comes first however with Code Veronica presenting a glaringly obvious option and one sure to be a hit thanks to its cult-classic status.

Capcom appears to have an intention to fit the remake their lineup at least until RE4 and it makes sense then that Code Veronica X would be next on the menu in order to bring the full original Resident Evil experience to a modern audience, especially considering thus far CVX is yet to receive the same treatment as it's numbered peers.
