6 Video Games You Can't Deny Would Be GREAT Movies
1. Gears Of War
Out of all the games in this list, Gears of War has the most risk, but it would definitely bring back the most reward if it was a success. With the most elaborate, otherworldly concept behind it, Gears of War stands the best chance at bringing hope to the fans and studios.
Why would this work as a film? GOW may have taken place on a completely different world with different rules, governments and technology, but it was a series of games that didn't have to explain itself. A huge problem film studios have with high-concept films is they are skeptical that audiences won't follow the plot or the world that is being offered to them.
This isn't necessarily true; and providing the film doesn't tumble into extended universe content or dive too much into the backstory of the war, the film could work as a stepping stone for further sequels.
Look at the first ever Star Wars; an entire universe with rules, cultures and history was presented in 121 minutes and at no point did we question anything the characters eluded to, because we were invested in the story that was being told at that moment.
