7 Dead Video Game Franchises That Need A God Of War-Style Reboots
4. Infamous
Infamous has always been one of those first party exclusives that never really took off like it should have. It has its fans, and Sony has brought it back for two sequels, but there's never been an infamous game that's left its mark as a definitive classic. This could all change, however, if it were to take a cue from its first party brother, God Of War.
Whilst Infamous's morality system is intriguing on paper, the choices have always been too simple, usually boiling down to if you want to be a righteous saint or the living embodiment of Satan.
If Infamous were to embrace God Of War's level of morally complex storytelling, it could provide a superhero experience that doesn't limit its characters to the simplicity of heroes or villains. It would mean that the moral decisions could be less about right or wrong and more about what's the lesser of two evils, a theme that God Of War does a superb job of highlighting.
It's also worth remembering that If there's one game that understands how to structure an in-game battle between two super-powered beings, it's God Of War. If Infamous were to replicate the type of explosive throwdowns present in the game's boss fights, it would already have leg-up on most other games of its genre.
