7 Most Disappointing Video Game Crossovers

2. Jump Force

At first glance Jump Force seems amazing. The idea of characters from Shōnen Jump coming together to beat the crap out of each other is just really appealing, and with a great looking roster and a stupid yet fun story, everything looked to be in place to make Jump Force one of the best crossovers in gaming.

So why is Jump Force on this list? The game doesn't play well, and that's enough to kill a fighting game out of the gate.

Jump Force has a huge roster of 40 fighters and 14 DLC characters so there's no disappointment there. It's really appealing playing as characters from One Piece, Dragon Ball, Naruto, My Hero Academia, and Yu-Gi-Oh! among other franchises, yet it's just not that fun to play once the gimmick of it all has worn off.

The thing is, a Shōnen Jump crossover fighter could definitely work. These characters don't feel out of place here as most Shōnen Jump manga and anime are just about people beating other people up. Who knows - maybe one day we'll get the true anime fighting game crossover we've always wanted?
