7 Reasons Why Overwatch Will Be The Next Big Multiplayer Shooter

2. Crazy Powers At Your Disposal

To help turn the tables on your enemies, each character has a set amount of handy abilities to use. Not just one single power to activate and be done with, mind you. In fact, they each have some particularly useful abilities.

Take Tracer as an example; equipped with advanced technology, she has the ability to time-travel to a previous point in time, good for flanking or saving yourself from wandering into nasty territory. Combine this with the simple dash and the sticky bombs to dish out maximum damage.

Other classes will feel a bit more familiar. Winston the gorilla can use his raw, physical strength to his advantage by going berserk, hop around with his jet-pack and activate shields. Team Fortress 2 fans will find Torbjörn a handy inclusion, since he can deploy turrets at the cost of scrap, and even cover both himself and his creation with thick armour.

Support classes will offer more than just extra health. One particular class, Zenyatta the robotic guru, is a unique high-risk, high reward character. Since he's weak and slow, survival will be challenging. On the other hand, his numerous orbs can deal some fierce damage, especially when he's making enemies weaker with his Orb of Discord. Activating his Transcendence ability will make him invincible, and heal allies with a very large dome of energy.

A mixture of numerous uncanny and unique abilities will make for some great combinations and exciting battles.
