Owen Hart will be on the roster in AEW's upcoming console/PC release. Tony Khan managed to sway that as part of All Elite's partnership with the wonderful Owen Hart Foundation, and it's quite the get. This will be Owen's first wrestling video game appearance since Showdown: Legends Of Wrestling back in 2004.
The long-time favourite's likeness last appeared in a WWE game back in 1999. There, he was on-disc as part of the WWF Attitude crew, but hasn't shown up since. It's probably rather frustrating for 2K that AEW has swooped in to nab one of the most sought-after playable characters from the past few console generations.
Being able to pit Owen against modern-day heroes like Kenny Omega, CM Punk, Darby Allin, Jungle Boy, Hangman Page and more will be a real selling point for Fight Forever. Sure, fans can download great CAWs in WWE 2K22, but having an official model on offer is magic.
