7 Worrying Signs That WWE 2K20 Will Be A Carbon Copy Of 2K19
3. Minimal Changes To Universe Mode
As somebody who easily spends most of their time in any WWE 2K game inside of Universe mode, I was, once again, disappointed to see that the mode has been given no love. As is true every year, universe mode is the most underutilised and underappreciated aspect of the entire game, formulated to provide fans with limitless creativity but never given the tools to fully embrace that vision.
While players have been begging for triple threat and fatal four-way rivalries, some form of show statistics or literally just for 2K to make it so that rivalries don't generate the exact same match every single week, it still lacks any major update or overhaul since 2K took over the franchise.
For fans of Universe mode, is the game worth purchasing for exactly the same systems? Sure, you'll get some new superstars to play around with, but with community creations getting so strong and the likes of Chris Jericho, Dean Ambrose and more disappearing from this year's roster, it's clear that missing a few new faces isn't the end of the world.
2K needs to do something new with this mode and fast, as fans won't keep holding on for an overhaul forever, especially if it means having to buy a whole new game.
