8 BEST Movie Tie-In Video Games EVER

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith may not be the most acclaimed game on this list, but its decision to adapt George Lucas' sci-fi trilogy-capper into a hack 'n' slash romp is totally inspired.

Alternating between Anakin and Obi-Wan as you cut your way through a bevy of levels based on the movie's events is a sheer blast, and including extensive clips from the movie itself between levels was a neat touch upon release.

The game also features a corker of a multiplayer duel mode, in which two players can duke it out as some of the series' most iconic characters, including Darth Vader, older Obi-Wan, Count Dooku, General Grievous, and Mace Windu.

But the best thing of all about the Revenge of the Sith game? The campaign's amazingly unhinged alternate ending, where Anakin violently defeats Obi-Wan during their battle on Mustafar, and then murders Palpatine and takes his place as Emperor.

For any young Star Wars fans playing the game back in 2005, it was legitimately jaw-dropping to behold.
