8 Biggest Flaws In Red Dead Redemption 2

5. A Lack Of Creativity With Missions

Aside from the early hours of the campaign and the odd time you're pestered to go fishing, most of the story’s missions play out identically. You and your companions ride while blabbering about the current climate, and then everything quickly goes to sh*t with you being forced to paint nature red with the blood of a hundred nameless minions.

While nearly every video game has a pattern each of its missions replicates, they are usually better at making it discreet. With Red Dead Redemption 2, the calm-before-the-storm routine is so obvious that it soon turns from comical to monotonous.

To avoid the repetition of players rolling their eyes as a simple stroll turns into another predictable war that Arthur miraculously always finds baffling, the main story needed more variety. That way each inevitable battle would have felt less like a forced convenience thanks to being a video game, and Arthur would have had less blood on his hands.

From stealthy knocking out goons to carrying out simple errands with your merry men, more variety would have made the game less predictable and confrontations truly feel unavoidable.
