6. Leaving The Group - Warhammer: Vermintide 2/Left 4 Dead/Darktide

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide

Whereas Overcooked might have made you scarper the kitchen quick sharp, in games like Left4Dead, Vermintide and Darktide, the heat is very much outside of the cooking space and you will need every ounce of teamwork just to survive the night.

The Golden Rule of these games is "Never Split The Party", and yet, without fail this rule will be flung out of the window (along with your now lifeless bodies) by that one friend who just believes, to their very core, that they are the Chosen One sent to do the impossible and fight off the hordes with nothing more than a series of strong words and morning coffee breath.

Let me just flip to the end chapter of that book and read you the final lines, "and then everyone died. The end." Cool.

Except it's not the end at all is it? That's just the beginning of the arguments, it's the start of the end of some friendships just because people can't hold their nerve, keep a calm head and stay with the group. These games punish you for trying to play the ego-hero, and will wipe their mangy scrotum over the hopes and dreams of your team.

Remember kids there's no "I in team" but there is a "Mate." with a full !*$% stop coming your way if you pull this pish in a gaming session.
