8 Nintendo Video Game Movies We NEED To See

4. The Legend Of Zelda

The Legend of Zelda franchise has been used to tell a lot of varied stories. Breath of the Wild tells a post-apocalyptic story, Majora's Mask tells a time-loop story, and Spirit Tracks tells a story of a world that's obsessed with trains for some reason.

What I'm getting at is that there are so many possibilities for a The Legend of Zelda movie. The film could adapt a pre-existing game as something like Skyward Sword, Twilight Princess, or Ocarina of Time would work really well as a movie. Better yet it could tell its own story about an entirely new Link and Zelda facing off against Ganon.

Since most Zelda games follow a completely new hero, doing this in a film wouldn't feel weird and would allow for much more creative freedom than a straight-up adaptation would.

Tell a classic heroes journey tale of a young boy leaving his village to face off against evil. Give Zelda a more prominent role than most of the games give her and we might just have a hit on our hands.

Has a degree in video game development. Is kinda addicted to video games, television, and films. Probably needs some help, to be honest.
